We went to watch the fireworks that the city of Marshalltown put on with the English Elders. The funny thing was, I served a second time with Elder McLaws again at the time of the fourth of July. That was the time that he and I painted our hair red. I love love loved serving with Elder McLaws. He was my daddy and he took care of me, especially after a hard transfer with Elder Porter.
I'm sure you are having the time of your life. One of the things that I miss about emailing you everyday is how close to the spirit I felt when I shared what scriptures touched me, or lesson I learned.
I learned that in the Bible, and in the temple, when God says, "You shall have power to bruise his heel, but He shall have power to Crush thy head," he's saying that sure, he was crucified, nailed to the cross, beaten and suffered all manner of affliction, but even though it seems that Satan won, in the end, we will have power to crush Satan's head, because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Cool, huh?
I'm learning the Uke fast. I just bought a Capo online and it should be here tomorrow. I'm looking forward to playing with it as much as possible. Although, I have found that playing songs with flats in it is much easier on a Uke than on a guitar.
I'm still chatting it up with Sarah Rebecca. I would be surprised if this relationship doesn't lead to marriage. She's just so great.
I'll probably get you again soon. Love you man!
John
