Jacob!
It was sooooooo good to hear from you. You need you DL to check your mail more often. There is still a letter you haven't gotten that said the outcome of the Men's French Open Semifinals. They play tomorrow morning early early probably. I probably won't break the Sabbath and watch it, but I will email you as soon as I hear the score and I'll probably watch the highlights.
I just barely watched the highlights of the Halep/Ostapenko women's final. Man it was crazy fun to watch Ostapenko, a pretty attractive barely 20 year old beat Halep, It was very close. 4-6, 6-4, 6-3 match. It's probably worth sitting and watching. Both women have yelps like the dickens. They were both screaming their hearts out on each point.
I went to my (previous Elders Quorum Secretary)'s wedding reception tonight. I definitely was feeling something, watching him with someone, and being reminded that I'm not with anyone at this point in my life. It was lonely. Plus, I knew no one at the reception. I chose wisely, though, of the tables to sit at because the girl was way nice to me (already married though). Ryan is married. I am the lone ranger of the Presidency, still looking.
BTW, I've been looking at Ukuleles to buy. I'm thinking of spending $200 for one. Not Cordoba, though, I don't want to copy you. The selection at Sam Ash was much better than Guitar Center, believe it or not...so, soon, hopefully.
We moved the Peruvians today. Took awhile, and it required all my muscles, and the muscles of everyone involved. Still building relationships with the kids of the family. Mosiah slept in twice this week, so I got after him. Now he has to call me so that I don't waste my time driving all the way to north central fontana. They live on the same street as the Lewis Library, which might come in handy.
I noticed something as I was studying the pivotal chapters of the Book of Mormon today. 3 Nephi 9:13. God requires even the faithful (survivors) to repent and remember the covenants they made at baptism, and if they haven't been baptized, to BE BAPTIZED. He required it of those that are righteous. So, remember, we are always in need of repenting and helping others to make the right choices.
Well, man, I love you and wish the best for you. I'll send this to your email too so you can check to see if you get DearElders on Sunday.
Love you man.
John
ps, who in the pictures is the DL?
