9/27 Mr. Martin MIA and Pres. Bednar

I went to work with every intention of working at Sycamore in a first grade class, but luckily, the job cancelled and Valerie had another (more desirable) job: Mr. Martin's SDC class at Jurupa Vista. I was happy to take it (while at the same time a little bit afraid to see where they Valerie would send me). However, when I got there, there were rumors flying around from Mrs. Raymondo and Mrs. Ceja about how he's either really sick or that he quit, which both are very sad. I can't see why he would quit, but Valerie did say that I could take a long term assignment, but since I was going to be out of town starting tomorrow, I told her I couldn't.

The day went by alright. They had a roving SDC aide in there. Mrs. Ramos was really the one in charge of everything today. I just kind of sat back and enjoyed the ride. It was not too bad.

I walked home with Sarah and we went to Target to pick up goodies for the trip. Sarah talked to dad for a bit before we left. President Bednar sent Mom and Dad an email, very good email about steps that are going to be taken on behalf of Jacob. It was very thorough and comprehensive, so much so that I said that I'm going to take it for when I get called as a Mission President (if that would ever happen). Jacob's in good hands. Mom and Dad both talked to President Bednar this morning at 6am. Mom got a very nice impression of him, coupled with the letter. We are feeling very good about everything.

Sarah and Arno invited me out to the temple but I turned it down. Fortunately Sarah wasn't mad at me.

Which reminds me, since I was at Jurupa Vista, I was able to register for tickets to Countdown to Kickoff. I got five of them. (I meant to get only 4).

I watched a middle and BYU Sports Nation with Mom, then I watched a new episode of Season 4 of The Goldbergs. Then I talked to Sarah for an hour and a half. Then she came outside my window and I said hi to her from my bedroom. She wanted to spend some time with me, but I was unaware that she wanted that.

Life has been really good. In most ways. Sarah and I decided to start a weightloss program called Optavia. We are a week and two days in to...
