Sarah gave a talk today on living a consecrated life. It was pretty spectacular. I waited for her dad to get here and we sat together in the front of the chapel to watch Sarah give her talk. She took the time to type it out during my morning meetings this morning. She printed it out on the clerk's office printer with my permission of course. We didn't have bishopric meeting because they had disciplinary councils from 8am through 10am. So I read my scriptures and slept on the couch in the foier with Sarah while she typed up her talk.
Arno stayed by our side during the whole three hour block. He had some good comments in Priesthood. I was in a meeting during sunday school so I don't know if he made any comments then, but what I heard from Danielle Demke when she taught the lesson was good, because she incorporated the Willie and Martin Handcart Companies and the icy water story where the 18 year old boys carried the members of the company across the icy river. Sarah actually started to cry during the retelling of the story. I wiped away her tears.
I stood in on Sarah's setting apart to be the FHE cochair. Her dad did too. Then she had a meeting and that is when we ate and got ready for the Self Reliance class. The class went by alright, we gained Issac Diaz but lost Gail Schaeffer and Axel Falcon to missionaries and illness. But the conversation went by alright. Sister Shaunna Lee brought brownies to the meeting. Which was awesome and very nice of her. The discussion was very good. We talked about tithing and fasting and fast offerings. I really needed it.
I'm going to send the letters and inspirational quotes to Jacob tomorrow. Sarah wrote a letter for him which we're going to include.
Sarah and I walked around the church after Self reliance class.
