I didn't get up very early this morning. And when I did get up, I went outside to mow the lawn. I had to use dad's keys to get the lawn mower out. I had to wake him up as well. He seemed to have gone to sleep, but after I had taken a shower from lawn mowing, he was downstairs in the garage working on reorganizing it. Mom was soon home and he had us help him. He would let me go do other things and then he would call me when he needed help. He didn't let mom park in the garage until he was done.
I went out with Sarah Rebecca at 6. Mom and Dad told me that they wanted to talk with her about wedding preparations tomorrow after the game and when she was home from work. Sarah was at work today, working on the Tom's shoes. She told me about assembly lines and other stuff. I had been planning on surprising her going to the Scandia Arcade. She wanted to go out to eat at some place she had never been to before. So I told her about Farmer Boys, which was on the way. She ordered a BLT and I got a simple (but good) cheeseburger. We also got four slices of fried Zucchini. It was very good. I forgot to say that Briana did call me somewhat early this morning and I was still sleeping-ish. I called her back later to apologize for not being awake, but she was at work. Later, right before Sarah and I got to Farmer Boys, she called back and we speaker-phone chatted with her for a little bit. I'm probably going to call her back tomorrow.
Scandia arcade was very fun. Our very first game, we decided to do the Deal or No Deal game. We must have had some great teamwork/beginner's luck because we won like 150 tickets or so. We played later and only won 10, but still. Then I volunteered to do the Jump Rope game. I was in a slump twice, but Sarah convinced me to do it one more time, and I got Jackpot. We then did Kung Fu Panda game, air hockey (which I dominated), Pac Man, Basketball, and skiball, guitar hero, DDR which I failed, twice. And a couple other games. We won 333 tickets and got several goodies and a slinky. Then we walked around Scandia to see the place and sat on a bench to talk for a bit. Scandia was decorated for Halloween (already). I told her that I would use my machete to cut the decorations down, because it was decorated like vines hanging in a jungle.
I called my mom to see if we could come over. So we came back to my house, and started talking to mom. Sarah told Mom about her family and about her parents, her mom and dad. Then dad came down, after talking to Peruvian family. He brought up the wedding, and thus the wedding planning talk commenced, the talk that Sarah had been dreading. But after all was said and done (and after I had promised her that it wouldn't be as bad as she thought earlier), it was actually very helpful. And even Sarah was glad we had had the talk. Mom and Dad wanted to know how much to contribute to the wedding. They wanted Sarah to know that they would help in any way they could, but that they wouldn't cover the whole bill. We even talked about possibly, instead of a great big dinner for everyone, we would have a potluck with the family. We looked at pictures of McKennah's wedding. We also showed them the colors, blue and purple and silver. It was a good chat. Sarah's going to write down all the things she wants to get done, and show us soon what to do for the wedding.
I am planning on buying the ring soon, and proposing sometime before we go to Utah for Conference on September 29.
