It's been a nice fulfilling day.
It's started out hard because I wouldn't get out of bed...which made Sarah sad. But, finally, I did, and we sang Welcome Welcome, Sabbath Morning and we read from the Book of Mormon and we prayed.
Sarah had a PT (Physical Therapy) appointment today at Kaiser Permanente. It was pretty good, in that three men talked to her about exercises she could do to strengthen her feet core. She was told she has no arches (flat feet) and that the way she walks is hard on her knees. She was also told that running marathons is something she probably shouldn't do. She was pretty upset about that, but read things later that encouraged her to try anyways. And I think that is awesome. Like John Locke (in LOST), you can't tell me what I can and can't do. They don't let us set appointments at the desks; we have to do it over the phone.
We were somewhat hungry after the doctor. So, we were going to try Starbucks, because we had a gift card, but then we saw Popeye's and we got popcorn shrimp with tons of sauce. We then went to a Target discount store for a little bit, but we had to leave pretty quick because Sarah had a second doctor's appointment in Ontario. She had to get an ultrasound of her pelvic area. They stuck a machine in hard to get to places.
After we were done, we had time to kill, before Sarah's mom was going to be with us. Sarah tried calling her several times but she had her phone off because of a funeral she was playing at. We went to the Ensign Books and Beehive clothing. We didn't buy anything at Ensign's, but we did get a lot of other stuff at Beehive, including an Ensign subscription, a Spanish Bible and ordered a Spanish Triple, a subscription for her mom, and some Garment tops for Sarah.
We called her when we were in Beehive and it turns out she was already at our house. So, instead of meet her at Kykiriky, like I wanted to, and take Sarah to one of my favorite parks, we ordered it by phone and picked it up and drove to our house. We met her there, and then we ate. It was super good, if I do say so myself. Definitely worth it. Then we decided to go to Walmart, where we picked up many things for the house, including command hooks to hang up pots and pans, spatula, measuring cups, a bookshelf to be made, some plastic drawers, et cetera.
Sarah and I, with her mom's help, organized our house even more. I did my side project of putting the three level bookshelf together, which was confusing at first. Fortunately, I had the tools to do so, thank you dad. I enlisted the help of Sarah and her Mom at some crucial parts. I did a good job. It looks nice. And then I helped Sarah with food things and other things that we needed to put away.
She also did her laundry. Sarah's mom was skeptical of how safe the laundromat is, but we assured her that this building laundry is super nice and secure.
I called mom tonight and talked to her for a bit. We're going to invite them over for dinner. They have missionaries tomorrow, so we are going to schedule it tomorrow at the Conference.
Yesterday's day at work was good. Somewhat hard, because I had the teacher walk in every now and again. At least I didn't have to teach 5th grade; that was a huge blessing.
We went to Shaunna's house to clean it as part of date night. It was nice talking to her and sharing a fruit and vegetable smoothie.
We had King Taco quesadillas for date night dinner.
