I couldn't handle getting up this morning. So, Sarah let me read like 5 verses of a scripture and then go to sleep, at least until I had to get ready to go, which was also early this morning. She actually took the time to pack me a lunch with a note in it. I truly loved it.
I taught three different grades today. 2nd, 3rd, 1st and Kinder in that order. The first hour and a half in the 2nd grade classroom dragged on. Same with the first grade class. The third graders were easy to handle because they had to be quiet because they were taking a test, or actually, several tests. I really had to pray hard about the first graders, Mrs. Vizcaino's class, because, last time I taught them, I caused a lot of the kids to cry. It seemed like she was in over her head when I walked into her classroom this afternoon. During recess, one of my boys, Louie, clocked one of my other boys in the mouth with his elbow while they were playing. He had a bloody cut up lip so one of the teacher took him to the nurse and he came back with a bag of ice to his lip.
Kindergarten was actually surprisingly easy because I only had to handle 8 kids, five boys and three girls. I had a lot of fun with those kids. The only difficult thing was when I took them out to the gate so they could go home. They all got onto the playground equipment and wouldn't get down when I asked them to get down. They finally listened to me, and I was able to let them go and go myself.
Sarah prayed for me throughout the day, especially in the morning, when the 2nd graders were giving me a run for my money. I was glad to be let go when the teacher finally came back.
We were going to clean Shaunna's house today, after date night, but she never got back to us on time. We decided to go to Chili's in Rancho. We were going to go to King Taco, but the aforementioned activity stopped us from doing such a thing. We got the 2 for $22 deal, which came with an appetizer of cheesy fries and Sarah got half a rack of baby back ribs and I got a chicken fajita. We shared our meals, of course, and had a super great night together.
We are both extremely tired. And after this, I am going to retire to bed.
