Hey Jacob!
So, it's almost november. I bet it is cooling down in Pennsylvania. Here on the other hand has been really hot. Just Friday was a cool day, cool enough for it to make me regret not having a jacket. I worked every day except Tuesday, because on Tuesday I had a job interview for a librarian position at Grant Elementary. I do not thing I'm going to get it, but who knows. There is however a job position that I applied for recently that I really want. It has to do with working as an Aide of sorts in different special ed classrooms. I've only been in SDC at Jurupa Vista, Sycamore Hills, Grimes, and Lewis, but for the most part, I do enjoy it when I'm with those kids and the other aides. I am most likely going to get interviewed for the job before December comes...which will be great. I really do want it. It pays like $18 an hour and it has benefits as well. So, all good stuff.
Nothing too crazy happened this week. We spent a good long time talking and planning our wedding reception for the 30th of December. We're having it at the Juniper building. Instead of at night, we moved it to the afternoon, right after the sealing. The biggest thing that was nixed was the idea of hanging things from the strings from the ceilings. But it should be very nice, and it won't cost too much, at least we hope. The honeymoon is going to be short because Sarah just got a job that'll require her to go back to work after New Year's Day. We're still deciding what to do for the honeymoon, and we still have no place to live. Obviously we will still be in Cali since both of us still have jobs here. We talked about moving to Arizona (you know, my dream, haha) but we will for sure move out of fontana. We've talked Redlands and Rialto, so we'll see what gets chosen. We're getting our Marriage license on Thursday at the San Bernardino Recorder's office on Hospitality Lane. So, big things are in motion here.
Sarah and I are going to feed the missionaries twice this week. On Tuesday, Sarah is having the Sisters over for food that she's going to cook at Shaunna's house (where Sarah now lives) (an LDS home). And then I'll probably take the Elders on Thursday to a place here in Rancho called Senor Baja. It has really good fish burritos and carne asada burritos. Plus, and this might make you laugh, but the missionaries in my ward were banned to come to Fontana because it was out of the mission boundaries, you know, because Fontana is in the Redlands mission boundaries.
We went to a Latin Festival at the Stake Center after we were done discussing the wedding. So, we totally missed the game. We totally fell 33-17. Not so fun. This is just not our year. People are really pessimistic on twitter and social media.
The Latin Festival was okay, because they had some interesting foods. We saw and met the Hansens. Lucy, Jesus and Melaney came. We said hi to missionaries there.
Other than that, just work work work it seems. My Wednesday was horrible, because the sub manager assigned me to a first grade class that went wacky at the end of the day. I was actually assigned RSP. Anyways, at the end of the day, I had to stay back for a kid that left their lunch pail and the whole class left without me. Fortunately there was a teacher keeping her eye on things and even though it was chaotic, we handled it. I was feeling somewhat, well, actually a lot anxious. I just wanted to get out of there and never return. But I got through it.
It's good to hear that you are doing better. Take care of yourself, bro. I love you lots.
John
