10/30 Cussing and Chasing and FHE Halloween Party

Today was my first day on the long-term sub assignment for Mr. Martin's class SDC. The kids didn't really listen to me. They listened to Mrs. Ramos pretty good, but not to me. The teachers keep saying that as the days go by and they get more comfortable with me, they will listen to me more. But I still have to wait for the day. I mean, today was my first of 20. We were able to have a somewhat good day. I did my best to give discipline when they needed and not leave Mrs. Ramos hanging. I could probably be better to help Mrs. Ramos out. Mrs. Yusef wasn't there to help out today. So, the part that was the hardest was the last 15 minutes of the day when Mrs. Ramos leaves me all alone so she can go home. I honestly had no idea what to do with them for fifteen minutes. So, I took them outside for extra PE. Well, that was a bad idea. Biggest reason was, Michael, who is a very defiant little bludger/booger, kept on picking on Natan and saying every bad word in the book, cussing everybody out, and chasing kids while playing a bad version of tag. I bet if Mr. Martin left because of how a kid was acting and/or treating him, that the reason was because of Michael. Because he just does not listen at all and he's a little punk, excuse my language. The rest of the kids would have been fine if he wasn't there. And Richard is an instigator as well, that follows him around. So, anyways, I'll have to ask Mrs. Ramos for help in some way at the end of the day.

I helped Sarah set up for the FHE Halloween Party that the ward put on today. I brought out the bags that needed to be stapled for passing out this Saturday for the food drive. I also helped them get the cupboards opened and connected the music to the PA system. I did my best to help with everything else. Ate some cheese and pepperoni pizza from Little Caesars that Brother O'Neill brought, plus nachos and chips and cactus cooler soda.

After I ate, I was feeling a bit anxious and overwhelmed with things. So much so that Sarah took me out into the foyer and we sat and did breathing exercises, and then we walked around the church once, and she let me go to my car to pray and sort through some things.

After that, I came in, got some bags to distribute with Sarah, participated in the costume contest voting. Ryan Hiatt won. He was the boy from ET with a basket for ET to be in and a printout of ET's face. It was rather quite clever. I tried talking with Tyler, and he said that I am soft-spoken. He was talking about watching movies that are Rated-R with oceanliners in them. I told him he shouldn't.

While Sarah and I were outside, sister Pam Peterson drove up with morgan to pick up Cat. She offered to provide a photo booth at our wedding as a gift from her to us, which is really nice of her.

Sarah was wondering what she could do for me to help me. Bishop walked in on us sitting in the Foyer and asked what was wrong. I told him. And he was really surprised that I experience anxiousness because he had never seen me act this way. Later, at Sarah's request, he asked me if I wanted a blessing. I said sure, but then remembered that I could ask my dad for a blessing, so I politely declined his invitation, and got a blessing from dad when I got home. It was good.
