10/29 Letter #41 and response...I forgot to write in my journal yesterday, can you believe it?

Dear Jacob,

I'm doing really good. Every day inches closer and closer to my marriage with Sarah. Sometimes I can't even believe it. It is just so surreal at times. Really, really surreal. But it is nice to think that I am paired off with someone that loves me and that I love. We're going to have so much fun together, I can already tell. We got our marriage license on Thursday...so it really is official. We are working on the details of our honeymoon, which is only going to be that Saturday the 30th of December after the reception, Sunday and Monday. She's working right after that. She recently got a job at Monoprice, which is a company that sales electronic items. She is working the phones for customer service. She has experience doing that.

Other big news is I got a long-term Sub assignment at Jurupa Vista. Starting tomorrow I am in a week trial of being with the older SDC classroom, but this job (if I accept it for the full term) will go until December 4th, Monday. Can you believe it? I will have a job for all of November! Think of all the money I will make, no days off, but vacation days. So it is great. I, at first was weary, because you know the trouble I go through teaching the same class over and over again. That and I didn't know if I would have to do the lesson plans. Well, the first one I will know after the first week, and the second is already taken care of by the aides that are in the class. So, it should be great, I'm sure. Anyways, you can probably tell I'm excited at the prospect. I truly am. Kinda nervous, but they will probably dissipate with time.

I was so tired yesterday after the game and going out to eat at La Bufa. I'll probably send you the highlights from this game. Mom told me that she told you about El Bakri's hit that totally took a guy out. That'll be the first highlight video I share, Along with the sound, because it was just totally great. Mom and I were like WOAH! (I hope Targeting doesn't get called, haha), which it didn't. I'll also send you the invitation we are printing out on photo paper. The game was great, because we won. We have little chance to win the next few games, which is required to get a bowl game, but one can only dream right? There's always next year.

You've probably heard that the World Series is going on right now: LA Dodgers against the Astros, Houston is where they are from, I think. Anyways, I hear about it a lot at work. They had a long game tonight that went to like 10 or so innings. Of course, almost all of the people at the work want the Dodgers to win. I could care less, but it's fun to hear about these games. Dodgers lost though, tonight. So it's 3-2 in favor of the Astros.

Anyways, thanks for all you do. I LOVE YOU. I hope you know that! Keep doing what you are doing. You probably killed it in your talk like you always do.

John
