10/10 Repichaje and Suspenders

It was nice to sleep in a bit today again. When I got up, I took a shower, ate a croissant sandwich for breakfast, and read my scriptures. Then I picked up Sarah and we went to the church distribution store and I picked up $9 suspenders. Then we toured the Ensign books. I was trying to gauge if there was anything that Sarah liked that I could get her for Christmas, but it was almost in vain. She pointed out some books to me, and she liked a particular figurine section than another, but other than that, I got nothing. It's okay, because Christmas is still a while from now.

We then went to the Rancho Cucamonga public library and had a family council that lasted the two hours we could stay in the study room. It was super helpful and good to have done that, because we discussed preparations for wedding day. We discussed that she really wants good wedding pictures. She mentioned someone she knows but after looking at all her pictures, we decided to probably go with Sarah Martz. She liked her engagement pictures a lot. We made a mission statement and how we were going to accomplish the tasks. We also planned out our week, which took a while.

We waited for Shaunna Lee's mail but decided to go. Then we went to Creamistry and I got a scoop of Birthday cake ice cream and she got black cherry ice cream. They both were very good. We watched Dark Lord Funk parody and Key and Peele dubstep video.

Then I went home and watched the Peru vs Colombia game with Dad, Mom, Lucy and Jesus. It was looking bleak when we were down 1-0. But then we got a free kick and it deflected of a Colombian player into the goal, and all was well. We tied them for the final score and so Peru is in repichaje, which means we don't automatically go to the world cup but then have to play (in this case) New Zealand to finally qualify. So they play two more games against them and then if we win, we get qualified for the World Cup, so those that made it were Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, and I can't remember the fourth, and we were fifth for the repichaje. So it is more likely that Peru will make it into the world cup this time around. They didn't play at all in the last minute and a half of play because they knew they practically made it. It disappointed me and I agreed with Jesus that they should have fought to the end. I was the tv technician for the day. Switching between Youtube and CMD deportes. We finally just stuck with the latter, even though it would hiccup every now and again, and the picture would freeze. But in the end, it stayed pretty consistent. We stopped watching off Youtube because the thing got copyrighted off.

We went out to Viva Villa to celebrate. It was crazy, because there was no one there. We finally decided because it was also Mexico's gameday against Honduras at the time we got there. They lost 3-2, but I'm unsure what that means for Mexico's chances to get into the World Cup. But after that game was done, Viva Villa had more business. We ate tortas there with beans and orange soda.

I asked Dad if Sarah could come over and watch The Middle with me. At first he was against the idea. But then he said he needed to get some stuff for his La Vida es un Carnival class tomorrow. So Sarah came, and it was a good thing we went over so much stuff this afternoon because we got grilled about it. Also, Brother Gustafson called Sarah back about the stake center building being used for December 30 by the Rich's. So we are going to have to settle for the Juniper Building. Mom was super happy about that because she didn't want to have to drive all that way.

I walked Sarah home, a little bit dazed and anxious from our conversation with Mom and Dad. The Middle was great. Kissed her goodnight and prayed with her at the door.

Tried on my suspenders. They seem to work well.
