My vacation is slowly coming to an end, which could be a good thing, because I will be earning money sooner than later, but it is still until September that I will receive a pay check. I am a teacher. I substitute for grades 1 through 3 or for Special Day Class. The school year starts back up on August 7, Monday. It'll be good to have something to do again and to be busy. The next thing on the horizon would be to get a new job, because I have been doing this for almost three years now. Crazy. I've been doing my best to apply for other jobs in the district. The most recent one being a Librarian for the Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, right next to the old DI in Colton. I was called back for an interview and I should be hearing soon. I also just applied to be a librarian at Grant Elementary. We'll see if that pans out. I'm constantly looking at edjoin for any job that I can be a TA for a special ed class, particularly at either Jurupa Vista or Sycamore Hills Elementary (but nothing has showed up yet). Let's hope that one of these jobs will fall into my lap and that I can do my best to perform at 100% in those fields.
Obviously, being a sub and librarian or TA are not my end goals to end goal. I'm still trying to figure out what to do. I'm leaning towards a job with children, helping them and understanding them, like speech pathology or something else like it. I need to go back to school to understand what I want to do with my life.
I have a very beautiful girlfriend named Sarah Rebecca Trefflich. By the end of this month she will be moving to a place in or by Fontana. We are talking about getting married soon and I'm getting everyone prepared for it. Mom wants us to court, so that probably means proposal in October sometime. She is such an inspiration to me. She wants the best for me and continuously shows it to me through her actions and declarations of love. She is living in Provo at the moment. But she received inspiration to move back to California. She's from Torrance, California. She has a boatload of friends that love her and that she will be leaving, including friends like Sabina and Melanie, and Justin and Nicole, and David, etc. She definitely loves her ward.
A lot of things happened in July that I wasn't expecting. Like Mamamama passed away and Mom got diagnosed with Stage Zero Chronic Lymphatic Leukemia and also Diabetes. I've had to think what things are good for mom to eat that she now can. I wonder what big things will happen this month. Roger Federer proved victor of Wimbledon and the US Open starts at the end of this month.
Jacob is in New Cumberland, PA, right now serving a mission, being selfless. I'm grateful for his example to me and to the rest of our family and future families. I got to see Briana and Tony and Sarah last month for several days. July was a nice rollercoaster.
I can't wait to see what August will bring!
