I had a nice day at Jurupa Vista today roving. The event that was taking place at the school that required all the teacher's attention in all grades was they were making a video for Back to School Night, where all the teachers say something of worth for the parents to watch. I was subbing for all the grades today, starting with first. When I got to third, Mrs. Martin complained to me about how dumb this video was, plus, when she got there, they weren't even ready for her because they went to lunch. She came back in fury and said it was a waste of time. I had to go back to her class about 15 minutes later to let her go make her video. I was asked to watch both third grades classes outside, Litchford and Martin, while they did that. Then right after that, the 5th grade classes were needed to be watched, which proved much harder because six grade was outside doing PE and I could only watch them on one side. The principal, Dr. Jones was probably wondering if I even watched them, because after the fifth grade teachers were done, she looked around for me in that big mass of kids. What was cool was during that time, Daniel from the SDC class, with his TA, a nice black girl who's name I cannot remember off the top of my head, greeted me, and it was nice to remember his name and give him a big hug. His TA is a nice, more of a girl than a lady. Mrs. Pedroza, the vice-principal, was helping me rove today with the other teachers that needed subs. We did a lot of outside roving. Mrs. Pearson had a message to me from Ms. Santos about the time that I had to have her class. Mrs. Pearson formally met me and said she had had all of my brothers and sisters. So, I of course, had to tell Briana. My last grade to teach was kindergarten, but fortunately Mrs. Towne and her colleague were in and out of there in a few minutes. Then, the office told me to go to Mrs. Shumate's new T-K class to help her out, and I spent an hour and a half hanging up superhero posters and stuffing birthday bags, tracing letters and gluing papers to a black border. Then I got to go home.
Haven't done much since then. Talked and ate with mom. We had Miguel's. Then watched a Daredevil episode, had a nice conversation with Sarah Rebecca about what we are planning to do while she is in town on Friday-Sunday. Talked to Briana during dinner. I need to call Sarah, but maybe I should wait til her birthday tomorrow. And watched another episode of Daredevil. Nice to relax a bit.
