Today was definitely not as bad as yesterday working. I'm pretty sure it was because I roved today at Grimes. There were only two hours worth of me teaching, really one hour, because the 2nd hour I was letting the TAs of the SDC class do all the work. I was in Mrs. Heras' class for the beginning of the day. I feel like the way she acts is the way I would act if I become a teacher, with my head barely just above the water. She isn't very good at teaching, but I was with her for one more hour and I helped her make a worksheet about saying what the kids wanted to be when they grow up, in Spanish. Oh, yeah, Grimes is the only school in the Colton District that is a dual immersion Spanish program, so not only Mrs. Heras, but most of the teachers in the district teach in both Spanish and English, and expect the subs that go there to know to teach their classes.
The SDC class, while expectantly somewhat disobedient, were actually pretty well behaved. We were studying the words SAW and RAW. There was only one little girl in the class and she had down syndrome. I had to help a little kid named Matthew who wasn't all there to begin with when it came to doing things of his own volition. Then the teacher came back, after recess. But like I said, that was an easy hour, because the TAs took over and I did whatever they told me.
Then I helped a fourth grade teacher teach Beginning, Middle, End, Characters and Setting to her class. Went back to Mrs. Heras' class, then ended in Mrs. Cortez's class and barely had to do anything to help her. She was talking about what the class did over the summer, so they could write a personal narrative.
I agreed to give Sarah Rebecca money to pay for her deposit and possibly first month's rent, because she owes money to Nicole's husband which she's going to pay back to him today. I know that if I'm committed to Sarah, which I am, then doing this is the right decision, but playing around with money makes me hyperventilate a bit. I hope that everything will work out.
I've kinda just been relaxing with my rare free time, watching daredevil, writing Jacob a letter, and now writing in here, but I am pretty wiped out. We made pizza and buffalo wild wings for dinner and pretty much ate it all, crazy.
Oh, and we have an appointment to see a $575 room here in Southridge on Friday night or Saturday morning.
