8/9 Late sleeping in and Obi info

I slept in til about 12pm today. That really was a concern for Sarah Rebecca, when she called me and I was still in bed. She told me that her exes would do that and that her father would do that. She was wondering where my motivation was for the day and for getting up. Right then, I didn't have something that I was really going to do. So yes, she was concerned for me and for herself, also.

I got up, took a shower, ate with dad and talked with him, especially mentioning my flaw/weaknesses. Fortunately he was all ears and gave me some advice about different things.

Mom came home and vented. She had had a schoolwide meeting with the school psychologist, who, apparently, doesn't do diddly-squat of anything for the school. Doesn't put kids in special ed nor retain anyone. Mom made lomo saltado. I helped with peeling and cutting the potatoes. She did the rest. I tried not to eat too much, because I had In n Out after baptisms for the dead.

I went prayerfully to the temple tonight. I got there before many people tonight. So I sat silently praying by myself in the waiting room. It was a nice time to sit and reflect and pray and ponder about things in my life. I felt peaceful. I had wanted to be voice in confirmations, but I was asked to be a witness for the baptisms. So, I witnessed all the baptisms (kinda distracted, sorta) and when we were done, AJ did the baptisms, the temple worker asked if me and Wendell who was doing the recording would like to confirm all of those that were baptized. So I went into the confirmation room, and was blessed with a chance to be voice for about 40 male names. Ryan Hiatt was the one getting confirmed, Wendell helped and Brother O'Neill recorded.

In n Out was good. I sat by AJ and Ryan and Tyler Frederick. Although, I noticed Elly Diego sitting by herself, so I made it a point to go sit by her. We talked. She seems to really be trying hard to live the gospel of Jesus Christ, more so than I had previously judged in her case. She surprised me. She told me about how her mom wanted to go the beach on Sunday and how she stayed in the car so that she could keep the Sabbath Day holy. How her mom is buying food from stores on Sunday and how she doesn't like it but still supports her mom. She's strong.

Then Greg Obi came to sit by me. I could tell by his demeanor that something is up. He didn't want to say. So, I just listened and tried to be a good friend to him. I know his parents are going through a divorce, which is rough on the family, especially Ebenezer, their brother. He's planning on going to Idaho in January of next year, for school. I could tell that something was up, so I just listened and sat with him while everyone was leaving. Talked to him about Maddie Scott, who ended up leaving, and other girls he had been dating. I love Greg. I consider him a brother, maybe enough to make him a best man at my wedding.
