7/3 What I want in a Family, and 4th of July tickets

Well, I stayed up late last night so I slept in this morning. I heard Mom leaving so I went downstairs. She had to turn in paperwork to a doctors office for a doctor's appointment she has on Friday. When I got out of the shower mom was home and she had brought Miguel's, Jr. For some reason, I wasn't feeling up to eating both burritos that mom had bought for me, which turned out to be a good thing because I had something to eat with mom for dinner and we watched 3 episodes of Parks and Rec on Netflix.

Today was #MissionaryMonday, as Jacob sent us all letters. They were good detailed letters that made me very happy to read. The biggest thing I got out of some of the letters is he wants us to mail him a lot of packages, and Mom already had sent him a package as he was writing today's letter. So probs the next time he will be getting a package is Christmas. I don't know when I'm going to send him a package, or even if I'm going to send him a package at all. Anyways, receiving a letter from him made my day really good.

So I went to the UPS store to mail my old cell phone back to Verizon. The mom and dad asked me to go pick up tickets to FOHI's firework show for the Fourth of July. I did it at the Don Day Center. I only picked up three. If I was smart I would have picked up 2 more tickets for Lucy and Jesus, because later while I was out at Target getting a card for Sarah Rebecca for her surgery on Friday, Mom called me and so did Lucy and Jesus.  They told me to go check to see if there were any more tickets, but when I went they said they were all sold out of all the tickets in all locations that they were selling them. Darn.

I had a nice chat with Sarah earlier today. She expressed to me all the wishes she wants in a husband. I can't remember all of them, but they were all reasonable. She then asked me to make a list for her of things I want in my home. So I came up with this list (I copied some of hers, as well):

-Lead Prayer, Scripture Study, and FHE
-Counsel everyday with my wife
-Always be on the same page with her
-Help our children. Be with them when they sleep.
-Do our best with our finances.
-Clean home-help with chores/united chores
-Go on frequent dates
-Go to the temple together
-Work at the temple together
-Go to the gym
-Learn to cook and cook
-Making continuous goals
-Open the doors for her
-Serve a mission together
-Give cuddles and listen to her talk
-Enjoy family time-meals, games, etc. around the table
-Enjoy Movies and shows
-Have missionaries over
-Read books together
-Incorporate family traditions.

So that's my list, it's ever growing though as I think about what things would be great in the household.

I wrote a card that I hope will get there in time to give her encouragement for her Surgery this Friday. It'll probably get there just in time since tomorrow is a holiday and it usually takes two days for stuff to reach Utah.
