I woke up to a nice long message from Sarah Rebecca and a call from her. She is so amazing. She supports me throughout all of my different weaknesses. We are definitely equally yoked in our different things.
Mom and I went to Hometown Buffet for lunch this afternoon. Mom has been really careful these last couple of days ever since she found out she has diabetes. I've been asking her about different foods. The hardest ones to avoid are all those foods that have carbs, and it's all the good stuff like breads and noodles. I bet you that I'm next in line to find out that I have diabetes. Probably not now, but sometime in the near future, and I'll have to prick my finger with a needle and do glucose tests. Recently, before the trip, mom and I bought frozen raspberries from Target, and we've been making smoothies out of it, with bananas and when we didn't have bananas, we made it with orange juice. No sugar. It's been really nice to drink. So we had Hometown Buffet, and our second burritos from Miguel's that we got last night. We're going to have two hour roast tomorrow for dinner (or at least when I get home).
I went to Barnes and Noble while mom went to Old Navy. I originally wanted to get a yoga book that was in the front doorway, but it wasn't there. Granted, it's been more than probably a month since I visited the Rancho B&N. So, I searched out the Health and Fitness books. Instead of a yoga book, I got a workout book with pictures of how to different fitness exercises. I'm really looking forward to using it. I also got the 2nd Anne of Green Gables book. I spent a good amount of money. But I'll use it and read it.
Came home and took a nap, then did the Ward Council agenda, and searched for apartments for Sarah, and sent her 4 options, all under $700. Mom and I watched some Parks and Rec, and she wanted me to watch Madam Secretary, but she started from the 2nd episode so I wasn't fully invested, plus, I wasn't fully invested to begin with.
Sarah Rebecca is going to a Harry Potter party. When I was at B&N, I read a magazine about how HP is now 20 years old. Crazy! Grandpa bought it for me for Christmas the year it came out. Little did he know what kind of a phenomenon it was going to create. I love Grandpa. And thinking about that makes me miss him a bit.
