7/11 Smogging and Hemming

Today was laid back. We decided yesterday, that we wouldn't go to the Museum of Tolerance today, at Dad's request and chagrin. It's a good thing we didn't though because Lucy, Dad's sister, needed us because Mamamama is not doing to well in the hospital. In fact, she never decides to go to the hospital, so it was an act of submission and humility that she decided to go. To put it carefully, she's bleeding too much and may have contracted a disease of the blood while in the hospital. We do not think she will be around much longer. But that is okay, because she's lived a long beautiful life, has great children, and has lived fruitfully. When Mom and Dad picked up Lucy, I was at the movie theater, so I did not have any idea of what had transpired. When they pulled in, Lucy gave me a huge sobbing hug, and that is when I knew something was wrong. She was crying hysterically when Mom and Dad picked her up from her apartment. So she had actually calmed down, but was still sobbing when she got to the house. While Dad called Peru, I put my arm around her and did my best to comfort her. After the call was over, she finally stopped crying and Mom and I went to pick up El Pollo Loco. We ate around the dinner table and did our best to comfort Lucy. She's doing good now.

I just went to see Spider-man:Homecoming for the 2nd time today. It was as good as the first time, except I was tired and by the end of the movie I had a headache.

I also went to get my car smogged and a car wash. Before, Mom had asked me if I would like to have my new Khaki pants and new temple pants hemmed. I said, of course! She cut of 13 1/2 inches of my white pants off. It could have made a hat.

While she did that, I read my scriptures, and watched women's tennis at Wimbledon. I watched the last point between Jo Konta and Simona Halep. An audience member screamed in the middle of the point and distracted Halep. She wasn't too happy, because she had lost. The scream was blood curdling.

Dad picked up pork ribs in red greasy sauce. I couldn't eat it all, it was just too much oil for me.
