7/16 Understood Misunderstandings and a Van trip instead

Roger Federer won Wimbledon today. I didn't watch the match but he won in three straight sets. He actually didn't drop a set once this tournament, which is so impressive, considering the people he went against. Today it was Cilic.

I checked in like I usually do on Sunday mornings, but slept in longer, the most I could without being late to pick up Brother Harris at 9:45am. We had a good bishopric meeting and ward council. Tauivi got my back and did spiritual thought for the meeting. I owe him a couple that he doesn't even know yet. Today was the tail-end of a YSA conference. We had two meetings, we skipped out on Sunday school for today. Priesthood and Relief Society was first and then we had an hour and a half or so Sacrament. I passed to Elder Miskin, the presiding authority at our meeting. President Knudsen was there to support the Fontana stake. Elder Miskin's talk had an analogy with sheep, the sheep with the bells are the ones we should follow because they will never lead you astray. Eric Slemboski spoke, too. He spoke on service and told a story of him helping a girl in the ward move a refrigerator that was a monstrous task.

After the meeting, I sat with Lilly Hinckley and D'Kota Anderson, Celeste Boyd, AJ Waite, and Lindsay Farris. She and her mother performed a heart-stopping rendition of Gethsemane with Bradford at the piano. It was a great performance. We had croissant sandwiches and potato chips and fruit with a cookie that everyone was trading or trying to steal. We had 166 people at sacrament which is double the number than there usually is. Choir practice was fun. We're singing one of the hardest song there is to sing for a choir: My Kindness Shall Not Depart From Thee. Fortunately, I knew the part really well from previous times we sang it. Greg Obi finally made it to sing with me. Josh Quinlan went to the Basses.

I hadn't been feeling good about my relationship with Sarah in regards to the misunderstanding we had about the car and mom coming and taking her stuff. Then I talked to her, and I felt better getting it out in the open and she was very understanding. Then I told her about Briana, who I talked to today about getting a bookshelf to her. She didn't really want it. Then she told me that she should have told me before but she felt uncomfortable about me inviting Sarah Rebecca to Brittney Maynard's wedding this weekend. She was like, she's my friend and I am her bridesmaid and I want the wedding to be perfect for her. That she said Sarah wasn't invited to the wedding and that the family wasn't really invited even though we all got an invitation. Anyways, I told her that if she didn't want us to go the wedding, we didn't have to go. She was undecided; she was like I do but I don't. So, it seems like she is still allowed to come to the wedding. I told Sarah and she totally understood and didn't see Briana in a bad light. I was really reluctant to tell her though.

Mom and Dad had a spat today. Dad is superimposing his authority on mom saying he didn't want her to fly to Salt Lake and that she should have taken the van. Well, I am taking the van now, so he doesn't have to worry about that. But mom was moved to tears when Dad hung up on her during a video chat. Mom had another conversation with him later; hopefully it made it better.

We went to a missionary farewell, but no one was there.

Savannah Hudrlik got her mission call today after a month of waiting. She is going to Houston Texas Spanish Speaking! Crazy.
