7/20 Indian food and This Is the Place with Pictures

What a day it has been. What a good day it has been.

I got up relatively early to pick up mom. No hitches there so it was good. Got there at exactly 9 and mom was ready a few minutes later to be picked up. I drove mom to Sarah's apartment. During the ride she kept saying that I was pressing the gas pedal every now and again which was making her sway back and forth or bob. She didn't like that. Sarah was just getting into the shower to get ready for work. They asked me to pick up Carl's Jr. Which I did do. Then mom and I went to the BYU bookstore. We got game-day shirts. And posed in front of pictures of the Hail Mary Tanner Mangum miracle throw to Mitch Matthews. We also watched little kids bowling really well.

We then took a trip to the Provo City Center temple where mom got to walk the grounds for the first time. We bumped into a sister that was a missionary in my home ward back home, Sister Young, but now she's married. She was there for her best friend's wedding.

Then I got dropped off at the Frontrunner train in Provo, where I waited for about an hour, took the train and connected at Murray to the Blue Line of Trax to get to Historic Sandy 9000 S. I waited there for about an hour in the shade because Sarah didn't get out of work until an hour later. I actually saw Tyler and Sharon before I saw them and they went to check. Turns out she was on an hour long call she couldn't get off of. So, I just had to wait. We decided to go to an Indian Restaurant called Star of India at Ramada Inn in Salt Lake, and we shared an assortment of meats and some Samosas. It was my first time at an indian restaurant, but the food was very good. We talked about Disneyland, TV Shows on Freeform and the CW, among other things. Then we decided to go to the This is the Place monument.

Sarah and I decided to walk around the monument. We read all the engravings and came closer as we discussed the pioneers and Brigham Young, and all the people that were accredited with discovering Utah.  The side pioneer crossings reminded me of the Mesa Arizona temple. It was nice to read those with Sarah. AND WE TOOK OUR FIRST PICTURES TOGETHER! Sharon and Tyler were talking on a bench and on the grass in the distance.

It was nice because we met Mom and Sarah at Zupas. But then we had to leave because it was already 9pm, so we drove back to Sleep Inn, where we chatted for a good hour or so more. Sarah Rebecca was very happy because she warmed up to mom really well. She was so worried that in our ride from the Monument she asked me what I would do if mom did not like her. I told her I would stick with her anyways. She was happy when I said that. Then she asked me what I would do if in the future that they didn't agree. That was a harder question and I didn't answer it. I think I would for sure stick with her in the end. I mean, she would be my wife. But I think her fears are quelled because they hit it off really nicely.

I walked her out and we talked about our future and what I see myself doing and I said I am still unsure, that I wanted to do something that would help support our family and she said not to worry and to do something that I would have a passion for. I'm unsure what that is but together we will figure it out.

The last two blog posts have been more lists than thought, except for the last two paragraphs. It's because I'm away from home. They will get better.
