Today was a doozy.
Sarah and Dad got into a contentious uproar over small things and Sarah believes that dad oppresses both me and mom, quelling her freedom to speak freely about any subject. Sarah doesn't trust that dad has her best interests at heart anymore, saying that if he continues to do stuff like this she doesn't trust him to treat our family well. IDK IDK IDK
My head is hurting for how hurt Sarah is and wishing that things will work out. This spat was comparable to the spat that they had at Thanksgiving, only Sarah was more hurt this time.
Mom was not going to have it. She left the restaurant and started walking home. She was so POed that she hung up on Dad and me intentionally.
Mom says they both need to know when to shut up, and that Dad is not going to back down. That Sarah should back down to preserve the peace. Which would be nice, but Sarah and Dad are both stubborn.
Can you believe that this all happened because dad had a chip on his shoulder because of Sarah, and she was just talking about Ty Detmer as Offensive Coordinator for BYU? Dad had something against Sarah already on his mind before we even had dinner at Sizzler.
The Christmas party was good. We gave Chris Acosta a ride and he enjoyed himself.
