It was a good day today. I was at Grimes Elementary in Mrs. Cortez's 2nd/3rd grade combo. I've taught her class before and she was happy to see me, which I wasn't expecting, really. The day went by alright. I noticed one of my students, Arianna, wasn't happy, but something changed after lunch and she was her usual stuff. Fortunately for me, the teacher wasn't in all day. She was testing first graders. She only made an appearance once, and it was at the very end of the day to tell the kids that they have a field trip to look forward to. They're going to Jurupa Hills High School to watch the high schoolers put on a production of Tarzan. Maybe I should look into that. We couldn't do PE because it had rained. But fortunately, I was able to let them out for recess. I made a boy cry who was playing teatherball. He felt like an injustice was done to him and he was crying.
I got home and had a good day. Sarah did a lot of changes. First, we decided to postpone going to the temple until tomorrow night for date night. Then she was going to go to Kaiser Permanente, but then had to come home because her cell phone was dying.
I was able to call mom. She's doing good and told me that Sarah is in Irvine doing a thing with her job. They flew her in from Salt Lake. Pretty cool, but Mom doesn't think she'll have anytime to see us.
Still sick with a cough and somewhat headache every time I cough. I just need a day where I can sleep.
Sarah's last day is tomorrow. She did turn in the part-time receptionist application, so we're seeing if that will be her gig from now on. But we still have to wait and see.
We had a talk tonight about what I want. I wanted to do the laundry but she wanted to cuddle.
