I had two surprises for Sarah when she got home today, all done by someone else. First, the toilet got fixed and Second, the maintenance guy also helped us hook up the water and ice maker to our fridge. She (and i) were very happy about these developments. To be able to go to the bathroom and flush and to be able to go to the fridge and receive ice and water was just great.
For date night we watched the first two episodes of The West Wing. Sarah and I got into a little spat (I think it was because I was a bit hungry. The first episode didn't have a previously on The West Wing. We found out later because it was an episode in response to the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
We went to the Chinese restaurant that is on the corner or Linden and Valley for dinner and date night. The meat was good, but the rice and chow mein was only a little good. We ate there, which was nice.
Sarah got me lunch, which was several things from the pot luck at her work. She told me to come to her work and park in the cul-de-sac and wait. After that, we went to the Monoprice store. We accidentally got the wrong cables for my phone. On our way out, we bumped into one of her coworkers. She was super nice and I found out she was one of the people to help us with cookies at our wedding.
Sarah found out that she doesn't have to work on Monday, yay!
I paid our rent yesterday. Didn't get the receipt, so hopefully all works out.
We watched The Time Traveler's Wife for date night as well. She liked it and it made me tear up a bit.
