I went to Lewis Elementary today, which is like my new Jurupa Vista, in that it is like 5 minutes away by car, and I went roving. Well, you never know what you are going to get, and what did I get? Well, my first round of TK (transitional kindergarten). I've never done T-K before. I was in Mrs. Neumann's class, the one that joins with the work room that the kindergarten teachers and Julie Barrios eats in. I just took the class joyfully, and I had a relatively good day. There were still problem kids that I had to deal with. Mainly, a boy named Angel, who, ironically was not an angel today. He stayed in the back of class and played with white clay the whole time. That, and he also got on the playground bikes in class, in class mind you. The good thing about taking the class, was that everything went by really quickly, except for centers. The kids were a mess at centers. Oh well. What can I do, right?
I met Mrs. Melissa Reyes today for the very first time on my way out to my car. She was still waiting for the kids to get on their bus. When she saw me, she put out her arms as if to stop me from very far away, and she happily told me of her appreciation for my help in her classroom. I told her how much I love teaching her kids. I had been in the T-K room, cutting out snowmen in felt. It wasn't easy. I also watched the episode of the flash that I hadn't seen yet at work, while I was cutting. The episode, Flashtime, was super good, even if it was a filler episode.
I started and finished my first Weeding Out Emotion course, by Alex Speiser. It was actually, very soothing, and it put me in a good mood. Sarah's been sick. She asked for a blessing this morning. We went to Miguelitos, as Sarah likes to call it. It was good burritos. We watched the end of the a flash and Seinfeld episodes.
Yesterday, the Young Men had an activity at Jesus Noriega's house. We played video games. It was fun. The games we played were like a Mario Cart, but instead with Sonic players, and FIFA. We made random teams. Isaac Garcia and I were on a team. We were the worse, but we didn't lose by the most points though. We lost 3-0 against the best team, Luis and Edward Guillen. They beat the other teams 7-1. Believe me, it was random. Jesus got us pizzas from Little Caesars. I brought two pizzas home for Sarah.
