3/12 Sisters/Hermanas for dinner and failed, but Pretty Good, Grandma Palmer Cookies

Today was pretty eventful. Besides the morning, where I couldn't get up for the life of me. My wife did make me a breakfast shake. We've been dabbing into making shakes in the morning and I'm glad we do, because I was okay until lunch..

I was at Sycamore, roving. When I got there, Laurel came up to me and said I know you don't like kindergarten, can you teach Mr. Gonzalez's SDC class. I said yes of course. And then I went to work. He has two nice aides, Mrs. Maria, and Mrs. Toni. Plus, he had a substitute aide that was super enthusiastic about the day. She was working with the hard of hearing student. I was able to see them at an awards assembly. Mr. Gonzalez was there to do that. I saw Leilah be innocently happy about receiving an award and asking Ms Maria about what Shakey's was. The day went by alright.

I learned through a series of texts, that Sarah had the Sister missionaries from our ward visit with her, to keep her sane and give her encouragement, and that she gave finding encouragement to them as well. Sarah found out that they didn't have a dinner appointment, so she invited them over for dinner. We ate chili and corn bread for dinner. I got all the ingredients (minus baking soda) to make Grandma Palmer cookies, but something went horribly wrong in the process. In the end, it made like one big cookie with the consistency of loose granola. It still was good, but we didn't know what caused its undoing.

The sisters shared from a talk by Brad Wilcox called His Grace is Sufficient. It was definitely needed at the time we received it.

It was late, but we went to Sam Ash, to pick up an instructional music book for piano beginners. I also picked up a scales book, and 8 Staff books.

Today was a great missionary monday.
